Registered Massage Therapy

Our Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs) are trained to evaluate your health needs. They provide an assessment of your specific soft tissue or musculoskeletal condition and predict the likelihood and/or timeline of your recovery. Based on individual assessment, they will provide active (intense) and/or passive (gentle) hands on therapy. Through research, our RMTs will provide evidence-based patient education and remedial exercises for your complete recovery.

Conditions Treated:

  • Pain
  • Injuries & accidents
  • Muscle tension

WHY IT WORKS:

Touch is healing, and touch also communicates a sense of caring

There are at least 80 different types of massages. Some are gentle, and some are very active and intense. Each treatment will be tailored to your body’s needs. Physical manipulations of your body’s soft tissues can help to reduce tension and pain, relieve pressure on nerves, improve blood flow, encourage relaxation, and improve range of motion. RMTs can target specific trigger points to release knots or tight, tense muscles that have been overused or injured.

Make sure you are adequately hydrated the day of your appointment and make time to use the washroom beforehand.

Try not to consume caffeine or a large meal right before your appointment as you will be lying down.

Wear loose and comfortable clothing. You may be asked to remove your clothes depending on the area treated.

We are taking extra COVID-19 precautions to make sure we are keeping you and our community safe!
